We wanted a website that speaks of calmness and positivity. A strong colour scheme can say everything, and we wanted a combination that best reflected the approachable personality of the website. We eventually chose the calming pastel combination that you see, used within contemporary, geometric banners and backdrops.
Tomás De Berlanga is the main school on Galápagos Isla Santa Cruz. Education is absolutely critical for the protection of the ecology. The children who live here will be the next guardians of this unique heritage. It is crucial to give this generation the tools to contribute positively to one of the most biologically and geologically important places on the planet.
I made contact with them somewhat accidentally through people in the community. Widely known for their exceptional ethos and achievements, this school runs a sponsorship program relying on donations, without which many of the children would not have the opportunity to attend. Their curriculum focuses strongly on the natural history of the Galápagos, so students leave with exceptional knowledge about the islands.
Yukum is an environmental NGO, seeking to build tree nurseries in indigenous communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Sadly - the Amazon is being exploited at an alarming rate.
The ultimate aim is to provide alternatives to deforestation. Replace harmful mass-agriculture such as palm oil, and to reintroduce species that have been used for thousands of years by indigenous communities for food, medicine and handicrafts.
At this critical stage, my role as website designer is to present the stats, facts and impactful images in a way that will capture the hearts of potential funding agencies.
Artemis is an independent boutique in the heart of the North Laines in Brighton. In recent years it has grown from a small outdoor stall into a established and attractive shop. It specialises in unusual globally-sourced goods for bohemian interiors.
Many of the products Artemis offers are unique; sourced from remote communities as far afield as the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and the Tatra Mountains in central Europe.
The client is now aiming to produce niche products for luxury teepee interiors. For this work in progress, I am working on rebranding and art direction, as well as website design, calling upon my years of experience in the magazine industry - directing photo-shoots, styling and design.
The wonderful, talented Feliciea is a dedicated Educational Consultant and needed a website that aims to support children and young adults with learning difficulties, including autism, from all ethnic and social backgrounds.
The website design has a strong focus on some of the students themselves. My client and I felt that although the software package was important it is also critical to put human faces to the process; inspiring the trust of parents and peers.
Given the sensitivity of the subject, we wanted to make the website bold, friendly and welcoming. We used a rolling parallax technique for the image banners, a cheerful, sunny colour scheme and simple, succinct messages.

The client wanted instant impact - to make noise, grab headlines and start social media trends. My website design has a stylish agency vibe via large striking images, showcasing their projects. It has a creative use of white space with punchy headlines, complemented by highly recognisable brand partnerships.
