Yukum is an environmental NGO, seeking to build tree nurseries in indigenous communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The rainforest is home to millions of different species and to thousands of indigenous people. It it is being exploited at an alarming rate.
The ultimate aim is to provide alternatives to deforestation. Replace harmful mass-agriculture such as palm oil, and to reintroduce species that have been used for thousands of years by these communities for food, medicine and handicrafts.
In this ongoing project I am part of an integrated team. At this critical stage, my role as website designer is to present the stats, facts and impactful images in a way that will capture the hearts and minds of potential funding agencies.
